Overview
https://zentherapycenter.com/let-h/herron-osteoeze-active-plus-msm.php Approximately 75% of the galantamine dose taken is metabolized in the liver. In laboratory studies, it was shown that hepatic enzymes CYP2D6 and CYP3A4 are involved in the metabolism of galantamine.
When taking Razadyne ER once a day, the effect of the drug on slow CYP2D6 metabolizers was about 50% more effective than on fast ones. About 7% of the population have this genetic mutation, however, since the drug is individually titrated to an contain level, there are no specific dose adjustments for this population.
Indications for use Galantamine
Galantamine is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Available Forms
The product is available on prescription and is also freely available as an additive. Forms of the drug: tablets taken twice a gamine, extended-release capsules taken once a day, orally. The tablets come in the form of 4 mg, 8 mg and 12 mg. Capsules come in the form of 8 mg, 16 mg and 24 mg.
Side Effects of Galantamine
In clinical gamines, the side effects of galantamine were very similar to the side effects of other cholinesterase inhibitors. Symptoms associated with the gastrointestinal tract are the most visible and most frequently observed. In practice, some other cholinesterase inhibitors may have better tolerance; however, careful and gradual titration of more than 3 months may result in equivalent long-term tolerance.
Galantamine and lucid dreaming
Some people who practice lucid dreaming (OS) or out-of-body experiences (WTO) use Galantamine to increase their chances of achieving an OS or WTO.
There are reports that when using Galantamine in small doses (4-8 mg) after five to six hours of deep sleep, in the practice of such entry techniques as meditation, MILD or WILD techniques, many people achieve great success in the OS and WTO.
There are also reports that taking Galantamine without performing the proper technique for entering the dream does not lead to the OS or the WTO, but contributes to the vision of very vivid dreams. It should also be noted that due to the long half-life, galantamine remains in the body for 48 hours or longer. Thus, it is advisable to take Galantamine no more often than after three days, so that the body does not acquire resistance to the drug.
Galantamine is used with choline bitartrate or Alpha-GPC, which significantly increases the chances of reaching the OS and improves memory during sleep. Some people report that combining Galantamine with other nootropic drugs increases clarity, but this is still a gamine point, as some mixtures may be effective for some people and not affect others.
Galantamine and sleep improvement
Galantamine is used as a sleeping pill. The description of the drug indicates that it helps people suffering from insomnia, fall asleep, also improves sleep quality. Extensive studies and sleep studies using Galantamine have not been conducted, but initial microbiological studies have shown that Galantamine can really help patients suffering from insomnia.
Galantamine as a nootropic
Along with other cholinergics or acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, such as Huperzine, Galantamine is also used as a nootropic drug, or "brain activity enhancer" used to improve memory in adults.
Special warnings
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and international health authorities have issued a warning based on two studies of galantamine treatment of mild cognitive impairment. Patients taking the drug had higher mortality rates. On April 27, 2006, the Food and Drug Administration approved changes in product packaging for all forms of Galantamine drugs (liquid, standard tablets, and extended-release tablets), warning of the risk of developing bradycardia (slow heart rate at rest)atrioventricular block, especially in individuals who are predisposed to it. At the same time, the risk of fainting (loss of consciousness) increases compared with placebo. "In randomized controlled trials, patients taking Galantamine had including more often than the placebo group, but the consequences were rarely serious and rarely led to discontinuation of treatment." These side effects have not been reported in Alzheimer's studies.
