Warnings
Bisoprolol is not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old.
You should not use bisoprolol if you you are allergic to it, or if you have a serious heart condition such as:
- "AV block";
- severe heart failure; or
- slow heartbeats that have caused you to faint.
To make sure bisoprolol is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have:

- This medication is used to prevent pregnancy.
- As with the majority of drugs, there is little published evidence of its safety in the early stages of human pregnancy, but in animal studies there was evidence of some harmful effects on the foetus at very high dose levels.

Overview
Release form and composition
Bisoprolol is available in film-coated tablets. They have a round biconvex shape and color from beige-yellow to beige. At break, the tablet is white or almost white.
The main active ingredient of the drug is bisoprolol fumarate (5 or 10 mg each, depending on the form of release). Auxiliary components: povidone, pregelatinized starch, croscarmellose sodium, talc, aerosil, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose and magnesium stearate. The film membrane contains titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol 3350, opadra II, talc, dye iron oxide (II).
Tablets are packed in 10 pieces in blister using (three blisters in cardboard packs) and 30 additionally in polymer bottles, plastic cans and dark glass cans (one can or one bottle in a cardboard pack).
Indications for use
Bisoprolol tablets are prescribed for the prevention of angina attacks, as well as in the case of a persistent rise in blood pressure (arterial hypertension).
Contraindications
The use of bisoprolol in such diseases and conditions as:
- Collapse;
- Pulmonary edema;
- Shock (including cardiogenic);
- Chronic heart failure in the decompensating stage;

- Severe bradycardia;

Dosage and administration
